Rather anticlimatic

The main graphic symbol didn't become into depth on her life, perhaps because the memories were too painful. Her sister did provide important, personal data that provided a glimpse into that family's personal life. That bratty ten-year-erstwhile child was super abrasive; it was quite shocking to see him dancing on graves in that Viennese cemetery.

self-indulgent, not very coherent

There are many families that have a history that traces dorsum to the holocaust, many of which are more than interesting than this one. Plus, the story was not put together well, hard to proceed track of who is who back and then. And the people in Vienna with whom they speak are clear plenty, but once again, hard to pull all the pieces together. I am certain this was cathartic for the motion picture-maker but not so much for the rest of usa.

I am confused as to why anyone would depict this documentary every bit "funny." It was touching, gripping and at times heartbreaking but nada was funny. Information technology is a very personal story and I give thanks the family unit for sharing information technology.

The boy is a TEN yr old boy, too young to appreciate this trip. He was non ready emotionally. However, I thought some of the comments by other reviewers were pretty harsh. He's a child. I hope he makes a return trip when he is older. I do remember that the story must be told and shared down through the generations then that we can ensure that it never happens again.

Adept story that took the states forth with them to follow the history of the family. The x yr old boy was OK - I guess typical of a young male child with no interest in family unit history and having fun with the filming - simply like nigh kids today. The ending that listed what happened to the people in the film was the about fascinating - would take liked more info on why the German man was no longer in the library and why the info is no longer attainable. Truly sad to run across what our ain people did to our own people.

The most endearing quality of the documentary was the honesty of all participants just I most appreciated all the new facts surrounding the holocaust that I learned. The trauma caused by such events is enormous. When will people realize that death effects united states of america for generations and in fact changes the course of the development of culture/humanity. Without bells and whistles this documentary was highly effective.

Revisiting the Holocaust

Compra verificada

Its the story of a Jewish family retracing the days of the holocaust past returning to Austria, where they escaped the Nazis through great hardship.
The presentation was ruined by the inclusion of their young teen son/grandson, which the blurb describes as "funny". He is rude and disrespectful and
spoiled rotten. I don't think it is tolerable to go romping over grave stones in a Jewish cemetery, being disrespectful generally to the Austrian people and culture and acting the fool, all the while existence filmed doing then. Linda Mills' son could benefit from a visit to Ground forces boot army camp! Information technology shows how little sense the parents have in not stopping him. Every bit it progresses, you really wish this kid had been eliminated from the film. So doing might have raised the rating by an extra star. Linda Mill'south family unit deserve more respect considering their experiences and losses, non only in fabric goods but through human tragedy. It is
worth seeing once every bit an historical document. The Holocaust tin hardly be classed every bit entertainment.

I'grand sure it was very of import to this family to travel to Vinenna and research documents regarding their family, but information technology was hard to follow.
